Overlooking the Lyngenfjord, just 2 km south of Lyngseidet, you'll find Solhov. Solhov is the largest wooden building in Northern Norway and offers accomodation for guests in the Lyngenfjord area. Choose between single-, double-, and familyrooms,or dormitories.

Built in 1924 and rich in history, this is a place you will remember. With almost 3000 square meters of beautiful wooden architecture.

Solhov offers a perfect base for active people in Lyngen.

In Solhov you can choose between single rooms, doublerooms, 4 persons room, and dormitories. The rooms do not have their own baths, there are common bathrooms in the hallway or in the basement. Bedlinen is included (extra for the dormitories), the whole house has wifi and free parking in front of the building.

We also offer drying room for equipment, the possibility to switch of the outdoor lights of the domain for northern lights hunters, yoga studio for those looking for inner peace.

Upon request we can warm up the hottub or the lavo to give you another memorable experience. We also have snowshoes which our guests can rent, as well as the traditional spark. For our summerguests we also have kayaks for rent.

Historical rooms such as the theater or the ballroom are still in use for traditional days or weddings. And for sure you will enjoy the dining hall with its 2 meter wide open fireplace. A nice place to get warm after your expeditions in the Lyngen Alps.

If you arrive by public transport to Lyngseidet we can arrange for pickup from the busstop.

Solhov is just south of Lyngseidet (2 km). In Lyngseidet you will find a supermarket, post office, bank, tourist office, library, sport-and elktroshop, a bar, café and a petrolstation. Public transport to Alta/Storslett, Narvik and Tromsø leaves from here as well as the ferry to Olderdalen.
