The Munch Museum has the world's largest collection of Edvard Munch's works, and provides insight into the artist as a pioneer of expressionism.

Edvard Munch has a unique position among Nordic painters and is considered a pioneer in expressionism.

The Munch Museum's collection, left to the city of Oslo by the artist, consists of paintings, graphical prints and drawings. By constantly changing the exhibitions, the museum presents the variety in his production.

Audio tours available in Norwegian and in English, and a film on Edvard Munch's life is shown throughout the day.

Guided tours in Norwegian on Sundays between September to June at 1 pm.
Guided tours in English every day in July and August at 1 pm.

Parts of the museum are closed periodically during exhibition changes.
