Overview

The world's oldest sailing galleon
The Galleon Loyal was built in Rosendal in 1877. It is a two-mast, carvel-built sailing ship, 85 feet in length, and in contrast to a galleon-rigged Jakt, this ship is a real galleon. It is thought to be the oldest in the world still used for sailing. Even when first launched she was highly regarded and was soon nicknamed "The White Galleon". You don’t need to be an old sea-dog to appreciate the ships beautiful hull and sinuous lines. The Galleon is fully restored and is a fantastic vessel for pleasure trips, entertainment, team building and corporate events, or even overnight arrangements. You can find the sailing schedule on our website. Please contact us if you wish to reserve a place and you can be sure of an unusual adventure full of unforgettable memories.

FACILITIES
We have space for 60 passengers on our day trips and have sleeping accommodation for 18. The ship has excellent passenger comfort and is licensed to sell beer and wine. We have 5 double cabins. There’s a lounge below deck with room for up to 50 passengers. We have more space on the outside deck, with outdoor seating in summer. The Galleon can be hired for day trips on an hourly basis, or can even be rented for multi-day excursions. We can accommodate lectures, courses, business presentations, meetings, and sailing training, as well as adventurous weddings and honeymoons.
